Who is On the Wall?

I’ve pretty much always had a camera with me.

My disposable camera was my right-hand in elementary school, which eventually turned into a digital camera. I was that girl with endless Facebook albums filled with candid photos of my people.

I love the feeling of looking back at a photo from years ago and suddenly remembering a moment I didn’t even realize I had forgotten. There’s something special about being able to revisit how a moment actually felt.

Fast forward to my bridesmaid era. Somewhere between juggling bridesmaid duties and making content for fun, one of my videos accidentally went viral. So I thought, okay, if I dedicated real time to this, something special could happen.

In March 2024, On the Wall was born.

I’m still learning, growing and figuring out how to make this business even better. I spend a lot of time studying the wedding and event industry, watching what the best vendors are doing, experimenting with new ideas and finding ways to keep improving my craft. I’m very much a student of the game.

A Friend With a Camera

Strip away the vendor title and I’m just a friend…with equipment.

I’m the one fixing your hair, checking if you have lipstick on your teeth, fixing your veil, zipping up your dress and giving you a pep talk when things get a little hectic.

But I’m also there to laugh with you, celebrate with you, listen when you need an ear and probably cry with you too. Yes,
I have absolutely cried at events for people I met that day.

I’ve always loved a good celebration, and I’m pretty well known for going all out for my own. Every December, I host a themed birthday party and take the details very seriously. One year you might be in cheetah print, the next you’re stepping into Gatsby. December is a busy month and getting people out of the house isn’t easy, but somehow, I make it happen.

I think that probably says a lot about me.

I love a well put-together event. The details, the atmosphere, the little things that make a celebration feel like you. Getting to be surrounded by that while capturing someone else’s big moments feels like a natural fit.

I’m naturally talkative, friendly and personable, so I tend to blend in quickly. I’ve been mistaken for a guest more than once. People will ask me, “So how long have you known them?” and I’m thinking... I met them today.

Honestly, I love when that happens.

How I Approach Every Event

I never want the experience to feel transactional. I want to be another positive part of your day, someone you remember fondly when the event is over, not just the person holding a camera. When it comes to the actual content, I care a lot about how the event felt, not just how it looked.

Yes, I love a beautiful shot. But the perfectly posed, Pinterest-worthy moments are only one piece of the story. I’m not chasing a perfectly curated aesthetic. I want the uncontrollable laughs, the moment someone's speech sends the whole room into tears and the dancing that a posed photo could never capture.

I’ll hand guests the mic, capture their voices and reactions, and weave those little pieces of the day into the final recap.

And if you know me, you know I take music very seriously.

I can spend hours searching for the right song for a recap, sometimes in a language I don’t even speak, because I want it to feel right. The music, the pacing, the moments I choose. Everything should work together to make you feel like you’re right back there.

Because the best recap isn’t just a video of what happened.

It should make you feel it all over again.
